Young Ashlyn got the gym house jumpin like Jordan….and she’s only 11 ladies and gentlemen!
In today’s generation, 5th graders are at your local gym or playgrounds practicing through the leg then crossovers like Tim Hardaway, fadeaway jumpers like Kobe Bryant or eurostep moves like James Harden. Whatever your favorite NBA hooper did on NBA on TNT, you better know that there is a kid out there practicing it one day at a time until he mastered the move to utilize during game time. But there are some young ballers out there who are just athletically and genetically gifted to be naturals on the hardwood floor. A prime example of this is 11 year old standout Ashlyn Watkins.
Watkins is a 6’1 5th grader who has the entire social media and internet going bananas over something she did that’s abnormal for a girl her age and stature. Recently, Ashlyn showed the fans in East Colombia, South Carolina that she’s not your average female baller. During a fast break, Ashlyn was able to dribble down coast-to-coast and flushed it with two hands, having the crowd in the bleachers go crazy off of what they just saw. Check out the video below as we may have discovered the next Lisa Leslie in the making.
