Quick, when was the last time you can remember coach “Pop” and the Spurs letting any player score 57 points on their homecourt? I’ll wait…. Cause it’s never happened, like never in San Antonio Spurs history, well until last night. Finally getting his momentum and rhythm back from before All-Star break, Kyrie Irving showed out last night against the San Antonio Spurs crowd in an emphatic win.

Collecting a career-high, season high and franchise record, Kyrie Irving helped rally the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 128-125 victory over the defending NBA champions. But more importantly, showcased that he is in fact the perfect “Robin” to Lebron James’sBatman“. The young phenom was 20-32 from the field and made exactly 10 free throws without a miss, not to mention he made all seven of his 3-point attempts in the night.

According to Irving’s postgame presser:

“It was such a fun game,” Irving said. “The crowd was into it. They sold out, they came to see a great game and it was. Once Bron gets into those step-back 3s, we were just looking at each other, ‘Man, this is just so much fun.”

Really historic night for Kyrie Irving, hopefully he can keep it up seeing as the road to the playoffs are swiftly approaching. Check out his highlight video from last night above.
