Over 3 decades ago, Al Pacino screamed “Say hello to my little friend,” on movie screens nationwide, and history was made. Though it wasn’t an immediate box office hit, The 1983 rendition of Scarface, based on Al Capone‘s life, has left a lasting impact on both Pop culture and Hip-Hop culture, and continues to be discussed today in almost mythical context. Fans of the flick have some pretty good news to celebrate today.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the man behind the upcoming Straight Outta Compton biopic screenplay, Jonathan Herman, will be penning a modern-day Scarface set in Los Angeles, directed by Pablo Larrain (Nasty Baby, The Club).
