Youâve seen her! Yup. Admit it!
While you were at the grocery store magazine rack, you werenât ashamed when you grabbed that 2015 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition with Hannah Davis on the front cover.
You flipped the pages and on page 49 BAM you found Kelly Rohrbach!
Donât be ashamed! Sheâs a winner and sheâs a dime. Named Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Rookie of The Year, Rohrbach, 24 is quite modest about the whole process. In fact, up until this year, sheâd never been in anybodyâs magazine posing in a bathing suit. âIâm not a model,â Rohrbach tells The Source.
âSI was my first model shoot. That is pretty cool, that is pretty cool!â

Whatâs cooler is how she got there. According to the Greenwich, Connecticut native and actress, she decided to pursue modeling and shelve acting for a little while. After consistent prodding from a friend she changed her mind! To her credit her acting resume is nothing to sneeze at. She’d appeared on the television series Two and a Half Men. Additionally, she’s appeared in The New Normal and the television movie Love Is Relative.
But she switched it up and she’s glad she did. âI decided to give modeling a go and the rest is history,â she said.
She knew her worth and Rohrbach is making history!
Rohrbach was recently named Sports Illustratedâs 2015 Rookie of the Year. Thatâs a big frigginâ deal!Â
Enter her name in the record books with the likes of Chrissy Teigen, Nina Agdal, and Kate Upton!  âEvery girl wants to be in Sports Illustrated, right,â asked Rohrbach. âWhen it comes out ,every girl says âWow look at those girls.â I just didnât think I was capable of being that; which is amazing!â
Rohrbach has upped the ante since appearing in the magazine too! Her first love was acting and it seems that she went back to her roots! Sheâs currently starring alongside Seinfeldâs Julia Louis-Dreyfus in Old Navy commercials. Sheâs living the dream! So whatâs next? âIâm trying to figure it out,â she said.

âI know it sounds like a bad answer, but Iâm figuring it out. Iâd love to act and to model.â
Shifting topics, the reigning Rookie of the Year also shared with The Source the best piece of advice that she ever received. That advice, came from actress Laura Dern who said: âKeep your eyes on your own paper.â
According to Rohrbach, she read that anecdote in a magazine interview as a child. My how things come full circle! Kelly Rohrbach was once a gal in Connecticut reading quotes from Laura Dern and looking up to her! Now, she’s getting love in a magazine that young women are reading today! So about that quote? âI thought it was a perfect way to look at life,â said Rohrbach.
âJust focus. Donât focus on what other people are doing. Donât compete against anybody but yourself and keep your eyes on your own paper!â
