The Legend is back at your neck with her new single & video
Just a short while ago, we formally announced MC Lyte‘s new album, Legend, which will be released on International Record Store Day (April 18), and will be available for one day only, on vinyl. With said announcement accompanies a brand new music video from the Brooklyn-bred emcee, “Check,” produced by Dominique Cohill.
The video, which also serves as a lyric visual, combines some compelling tour footage from Lyte, as she delivers some of the hardest bars of her career. Her new LP, Legend, her first full-length album in over a decade, is chock full of feel-good and concept records, ranging from encouraging women to be emotionally independent to offering support to men facing hardship, but “Check” is pure exercise.
