In the aftermath of the 2013 Boston marathon bombing, native Bostonian Mark Wahlberg is partnering with CBS Films to produce and possibly star in a film about the tragedy.

The film, titled Patriot Days, is based on the account of Boston Police commissioner Ed Davis, who worked with the FBI and other local and federal law enforcement to find and apprehend the bombers, one of whom (Dzhokhar Tsarnaev) is still undergoing trial. CBS Films acquired Davis’ life rights in conjunction with the 60 Minutes story that was done on him.

Wahlberg is from the Boston area, so this is most likely going to be a passion project for him. No actors or directors are attached yet, but be sure to keep your eyes peeled in the coming weeks!
