A survivor has been found two days after the attacks. Cynthia Charotich has been found alive after hiding two days in a large cupboard. According to Associated Press, Charotich hid in a large cupboard and covered herself with clothes. She refused to come out after classmates emerged after the massacre.

Around 10 A.M. Saturday morning, authorities had to convince the student that they were rescuers because she believed that they were militants coming back to kill more students. Security forces had to get the help of a teacher to convince Charotich that they were not militants. After being rescued, Charotich appeared tired and hungry, and was given yogurt and water. Charotich said that while in hiding, she drank lotion because she was so thirsty and tired while in hiding. After such an ordeal, Charotich appeares to be in good shape.
