Ex-Knick and current Indiana Pacer Chris Copeland, 31, was stabbed outside of 1 Oak club on W. 17th St in New York City. Copeland was rushed to Bellevue Hospital with non life-threatening injuries, and according to the NY Daily News, there was an argument occurred between Copeland and 28-year old Katrine Saltara. Shortly thereafter, 22-year old Shezoy Bleary muscled his way into the conversation, and attacked both Copeland and Saltara, hitting Copeland in the gut and cutting Saltara in the arm and leg. The club, in a statement, said Copeland’s driver grabbed the suspect and held him until cops arrived.

Once police arrived on the scene, Bleary was arrested, and chargers are still pending. Copeland was in town for the Pacers vs. Knicks game at Madison Square Garden later tonight. 1OAK issued a statement saying the club was “fully cooperative with the NYPD” and that the incident occurred “some distance” from the nightspot.
