It seems like 2015 might be the year of the collaboration of MF Doom. After hearing about a joint project with Flying Lotus of all people, what more could fans want? Well how about another co-creation with street wear clothing brand Akomplice. Three years ago the innovative street brand collaborated on a mystery project with DOOM.
Now, three years later, they’re at it again, with the latest effort cloaked in just as much mystery. Veiled in nondescript silver and black packaging and juxtaposed against a space themed background, it’s impossible to infer what’s inside. The previous project had a similar cryptic release in the form of a nailed-shut wood crate that required a custom crowbar to open, a pink cassette of the DOOM/STARKS collaboration, and more. If that project and the ensuing treasure hunt is any indication, you can be sure that the newest release will push the bounds of your expectations.
These will be limited to a 24-hour release. You will be able to grab the collaboration beginning April 12th at 12:00PM Eastern Time on Akomplice’s webstore. The price is $50 USD. Make sure you grab it while supplies last!
