Early Wednesday morning (April 8), it was reported that current Indiana Pacers forward Chris Copeland, 31, and his wife Katrine Saltara, 28, were stabbed during an altercation at New York City nightclub 1OAK. The couple were taken to nearby Bellevue Hospital with non-lifethreatening injuries and are expected to recover. It was also reported that Atlanta Hawks players Pero Antic, 32, and Thabo Sefolosha, 30, were also at the venue and were later arrested on obstructing police and disorderly conduct.

Details on what led to the arrests are currently at a minimum but according to ESPN, Thabo Sefolosha was resisting arrest and subsequently broke his ankle during the fracas. Sefolosha was seen leaving an NYC courthouse with his right ankle wrapped and in visible pain. The Hawks swingman will miss the rest of the season. With the playoffs right around the corner, this is a bitter blow to a team that is currently sitting atop the Eastern Conference with a 59-19 record.
