Tyler, The Creator is about to detonate his new album on all of us

In the spring of 2013, Tyler, The Creator demanded that he be respected as an elite artist and creative with his sophomore effort, Wolf, that infamously sold over 90,000 copies with “no Drake feature.” Exactly two years to the day since that declaration, the Odd Future headmaster has announced his third LP, Cherry Bomb, which will be released on Monday.

In addition to the surprise album announcement, Tyler revealed the LP’s artwork–featured below–and this morning he’s shared the project’s first music video, “F*****g Young” featured above. Though he’s announced the album just 4 days before it hits stores, Tyler’s Beyonce-esque album release shouldn’t come as a surprise. In fact, he jokingly accused the “Drunk In Love” singer, in an interview with Billboard, of stealing his idea two years ago.

I wanted to do that with my last album but I wasn’t able to. When Beyoncé did it, I was like “What the f—? That was my idea years ago! F— you!

This comes just two weeks after Tyler’s best OF running mate, Earl Sweatshirt, released his album–I Don’t Like Sh*t, I Don’t Go Outside–to iTunes with less than a week’s warning, and just days after Tyler’s good friend and Odd Future’s Grammy Award-winning R&B singer, Frank Ocean, announced a July release date for his hotly coveted sophomore album.

You can pre-order Cherry Bomb here, and check out the Cherry Bomb World Tour dates after the artwork.
