Diddy is said to produce South Park-inspired TV series with King of the Hill creator

Sean Combs, a.k.a Diddy/ Puff Daddy, is said to be producing an upcoming animated series called Brightmoor, according to Deadline, which will be set in inner-city Detroit.

Created and written by King Of The Hill alum Chip Hall and rising Detroit comedian Chris Powell aka Comedian CP, Brightmoor is described as South Park set in inner-city Detroit. It revolves around the African American pupils at Brightmoor Elementary. Combs will executive produce through his Revolt Films banner with Sarah Snedeker overseeing and serving as producer.”

FX is set to pick the series up, as it will join Archer as the network’s second animated series. Underground’s Trevor Engelson, and Five All In The Fifth’s Doug Banker are also reportedly executive producers for the venture. Hall and Powell will also produce. So look out for the new comedy set in the Motor City that is sure to be a classic like it’s inspiration, South Park.
