Yet another chapter in the Thug/Wayne saga

The commotion happening under the Cash Money umbrella–Wayne’s beef with Baby, Drake and Nicki Minaj‘s involvement (or lack thereof), Young Thug and Rich Homie Quan‘s relationship, and the Carter 6 album–is absolutely exhausting to keep track of. Today, the focus is Lil Wayne and Young Thug’s standoff.

We’re just 3 days away from the release of Thug’s new album, which was titled Carter 6 up until last night. Last night, in an Instagram video, which you can watch here, Thug claimed he couldn’t call the “mixtape” Carter 6 anymore, because he was being sued–presumably by Lil Wayne and/or his camp. As you probably already know, Weezy began the Tha Carter series in 2004, and went on to release Tha Carter II, III and IV over the next 7 years, and those albums have totaled over 6 million on sales.

So, Thug, apparently forced to change the name of his new project at the last minute, chose to troll Wayne just a little bit more.

Barter 6 is out Friday.
