Well It’s a little too late for that Mr. Kanye West. TIME Magazine just unveiled their “100 Most Influential People” list, and it goes to no surprise that Yeezy makes the list. West has been granted the award because of his extraordinary and fearless persona, and expresses that every time he breaks the internet, it’s because he’s said something extremely truthful.

TIME refers to West as a “Boundary Breaker,” and in the profile, Kanye discusses his encounters with elitism and judgement upon entering the fashion world. Finding inspiration in what most would look upon as a negative has humbled Kanye, and motivated him to push forward. Although one would say the “Only One” rapper has already built a legacy, he explains that his ultimate goal is beyond that.

“Our focus needs to be less about what our legacy is going to be or how we’re going to control each other, but more how we can give to eachother.” – Kanye West
