Last year, 17 year old Laquan McDonald was shot 16 times by a police officer. The unnamed officer says that he felt threatened by the teen because he was holding a three inch knife. The FBI and state prosecutors are investigating the claim.

Officials say that a dashboard camera captured the confrontation, but it will not be released to the public. After much investigation, the city of Chicago has decided to award the family $5 million.
