That is what former co-owner of the Atlanta Hawks Bruce Levenson wrote in an email two years ago complaining about the lack of attendance during game night.  Shortly after this email was discovered Levenson announced he was going to sell his ownership in the Hawks franchise.

The news was broken during Wednesday nights first half of the Hawks, Nets Eastern Conference playoff game.   The sale price was not released then, but a group headed by billionaire Antony Ressler have come to terms with the Hawks, the number that was settled on… $850 million!

Former NBA star Grant Hill, Spanx founder Sar Blakely and her husband, entrepreneur Jesse Itzler, are all on the ownership team.

The deal must still be approved by three-fourths of the NBA’s owners, that should be a non issue given Ressler is a minority owner of baseball’s Milwaukee Brewers, he also made an attempt to buy the LA Clippers last year.

Levenson announced in September he was selling after his racially charged emails were discovered.  With new ownership in the works and a good looking team on the floor the Atlanta Hawks future is a bright one.
