Dave Chappelle has an off night in Motown as hundreds of fans want refunds for his drunken show last week
According to TMZ.com, hundreds of unsatisfied fans at a Detroit venue demanded their money back at a Dave Chappelle stand up show, where comedy’s living legend appeared to be in a drunken stupor.
One fan could be heard screaming, Let’s hear some of the act!” to which Dave replied, “Well, it’s a little too late for that, sir.” According to showgoers at the Fillmore, Chappelle spent most of the time on stage smoking and talking to the crowd, while not telling many jokes at all.
Fans spent anywhere between $50 to $240 for their seats Thursday night, to which many have taken to Facebook proclaiming that it was a “waste of money”.
