As people try to come to terms of what really happened to Freddie Gray, a witness has come forward and puts a twist on what really happened to Gray. A prisoner whose identity has not been revealed, was in the same police van as Gray and says he “intentionally injured himself”. This comes as Baltimore Police hand the death report to prosecutors.

In an interview with the Washington Post, the prisoner says that he was in the same police van with Gray when he began “banging against the walls” in the van and was intentionally trying to injure himself. This is the second prisoner to make claims that Gray injured himself before falling into coma. The family of Gray do not agree with the recent claims and strongly believe that there were foul play that led to the death of Gray.

A relative of one of the officers who arrested Gray believes that he was injured during his arrest. While doing an interview with CNN, the relative says that she believes that not all officers were involved in the death of Gray,

“Six officers did not injure this man,” she told CNN’s Don Lemon. “Six officers didn’t put him in the hospital. I’m worried that instead of them figuring out who did, that six officers are going to be punished behind something that maybe one or two or even three officers may have done to Freddie Gray.”

Deputy Commissioner Kevin Davis reveals during a press conference that after the arrest of Gray, there was an additional stop between the time Gray was placed in the van and when he arrived at the Western District building.
