Ernie Johnson honors the late great Stuart Scott in this memorable gesture
Earlier this year, we lost a great individual not only in the sports world but broadcasting realm period in Stuart Scott. Stuart Scott was a pioneer, visionary and one of sports greatest anchors and individuals and his spirit will forever live on. Yesterday, TNT analyst and broadcaster Ernie Johnson won a Sports Emmy for Outstanding Studio Host and didn’t hold on to the award for too long till he did one of the most memorable things to date.
Shortly after receiving the award, according to The Sporting News, he stated “It all started with Stuart” and preceded to call his daughters Taelor and Sydni to the stage. Ernie Johnson then, handed them the award saying “This is your Emmy” according to the New York Daily News. Very classy move by Ernie and a well deserved gesture for the lost but not forgotten figure in Stuart Scott. Check out the powerful clip above.
