To say the phrase “Blake Griffin Has Arrived” would be an understatement for the gritty yet dunk-defying power forward. Coming out and imposing his will, Blake Griffin came out on fire dropping 26 points in the first half of Game 2.

So i’m pretty sure all you are familiar with Shaq’s blooper show “Shaqtin’ A Fool”, well he needs to go ahead and nominate himself for this. Earlier this week, Shaq took a faceplant during the an NBA broadcast and lets just say the studio felt the thunderous thud. Shaq’s fall has been this weeks viral sensation filled with endless meme’s from athletes and comedians alike (check Kevin Hart’s Instagram). Safe to say, Shaq needs to nominate himself for this one.

3. Mike Conley Makes His Heroic Comeback

After suffering a crucial elbow in the Memphis Grizzlies first-round series versus the Portland Trail Blazers, Mike Conley aka One-eyed Charlie, made his heroic comeback after receiving surgery on his damaged face. Chipping in 22 points on 8-for-12 shooting, Mike led his team’s winning efforts in Game 3.

2. A-Rod Hits No. 661 To Pass All-Time Great Willie Mays On The All-Time List

The New Yankee and heartbeat of the sport Alex Rodriguez, hit his 661st home run this week to pass the all-time great Willie Mays on the all-time list. The homer came when Chris Tillman of the Orioles threw a changeup over the centerfield. Now lurking in the shadows of Babe Ruth (714), Hank Aaron (755) and Barry Bonds (762), A-Rod will look to keep the streak alive and continue to build on his legacy. #Re2pect

1. Ernie Johnson Gives His Emmy To The Daughters of Stuart Scott

Earlier this week, Turner Sports broadcaster Ernie Johnson, won a sports Emmy, but decided to not take it home. In a very classy and memorable move, the TNT sportscaster, called up the daughters of the late great Stuart Scott to the stage to receive the award stating that, “There’s only one place where it belongs and that’s on the mantle of Stuart Scott’s house.” By far, this was the greatest highlight of the sports week.
