Jay Z’s new streaming service, Tidal, has been criticized so heavily in the first couple months of its relaunch, its new owner has dived into the image re-shaping process, tweeting and doing interviews about the media’s misconceptions about his new business venture. Hov went so far as in to tweet that there are companies leading smear campaigns against his, and would soon thereafter announced a 2-night special event, Tidal B-Sides, in which he would perform a set of songs he rarely, or almost never performs; a catalog of records that strays away from the Bonnie and Clydes and the Empire State of Minds.

Last night was night 1, and no one will ever forget it. Shortly after “You, Me, Him and Her” cued up, Beanie Sigel joined Hov on stage, and Memphis Bleek, Freeway and the Young Gunz would soon do the same. Though he wasn’t part of the original Roc-A-Fella, Jay Electronica would join Jay Z on time in New York City for the second time in as many years, and perform his timeless “Exhibit C” record.

Lastly, you know Jay wouldn’t get off stage without kicking a little freestyle. You can watch it below. Very rare.
