As we are approaching conference finals play in the NBA playoffs, there will be some heavy observation of what your favorite superstars are going to do when the bright lights are on them. But in actuality, these are the kind of match ups that hoop fans have been desiring for a very long time. Granted, this is not the old school NBA playoffs where you had the “bad boys” of the 89-90 Detroit Pistons or the 94-95 New York Knicks physically clobbering their opponents to a NBA Finals appearance, the new level of intensity and desire makes fans appreciate the game even more. Dope story lines for each conference finals match-up are the “bread & butter” of why hoop fans are glued to the TV. The reigning MVP going up against the man who came in second in the same category. A hometown hero faces a squad who unexpectedly ran the table during the regular season in the Eastern conference. G.O.O.D. Music’s own Kanye West said it best on New God Flow, “Went from most hated to the champion god flow/I guess that’s a feeling only me and Lebron know”. Plots like this is what NBA playoff basketball golden for in which history will be made and it will give something people can talk about for years to come. Stay tune fans because I got a good feeling that these conference final series are going to go down in the record books amongst the all time greatest we’ve seen in years.
