5. The Knicks still can’t it right
The Knicks were in prime position to try and rebuild the franchise with having the top pick in the NBA draft. Once you are able to have that pick, you have options. Draft a great player, trade the pick to draft more players, or just trade the pick straight up for a veteran player. But if you’re the Knicks that would actually mean sticking to a plan and actually executing it. Derek Fisher decided to win some meaningless games towards the end of the season to make sure the Knicks would have the 2nd best odds to win the lottery. Not only did the Knicks not win the lottery, they ended up with the 4th pick in the draft. So Knicks fans had to sit though the worst season in franchise history to get some guy from China.
