Gang Green’s defense just got a lot stronger as they signed the former All-ACC great
The richer gets richer as the Jets was able to add another powerful force onto their defensive roster. The New York Jets signed Erin Henderson to a lucrative deal.
Henderson is no stranger to the NFL world as he was a member of the Minnesota Vikings from 2008-2013. But unfortunately, the Vikings released Erin after he was suspected of two DUI charges. After taking a year off of from football to focus on his life, Erin was able to bounce back and land on a NFL franchise who can be playoff bound once week 1 starts.
If you not familiar with Erin, the 28 year old Maryland native is an all out stud on the gridiron. Ever since his collegiate days at the University of Maryland, him and his brother, Pro Bowl linebacker EJ Henderson were animals who raised hell in the ACC one week at a time. Erin was an All-ACC linebacker and was a semifinalist of the prestigious Butkus award for best linebacker. The Jets are getting a veteran who made 288 tackles, 7.5 sacks, and 2 interceptions in his 5 year NFL career. With a player his character who was able to bounce back from obstacles off the field, Henderson would be the perfect veteran catalyst rookies can look up to.
