2015 NBA Draft Lottery

While playoff action is heating up, the NBA Draft lottery had the basketball world shaking in their favorite Jordan’s as they pray to the basketball gods that their team ends up with the 1st overall pick. As expected the Minnesota Timberwolves, who came into the lottery with the biggest odds of landing the #1 overall pick lucked up and got what they asked for, as they basically became the winner of the Jahlil Okafor lottery. Following them were the LA Lakers who will choose 2nd. The biggest disappointment fell into the laps of the New York Knicks who got the number 4 overall pick. Seems like the Knicks can’t buy a break as their mission to purposely tank this season to gain a #1 pick backfired. But with talent such as Wille Cauley-Stein, Emmanuel Mudlay and DeAngelo Russell who can potentially be on the draft board after Okafor & Karl Anthony-Towns get drafted, Phil may just luck up with a potential superstar on his hand. After all who doesn’t want to suit up at the world’s most famous arena playing along with one of the game’s prolific scorers in Carmelo Anthony. Phil can’t go wrong in this situation. He can go with size by getting a big man in Cauley-Stein who displays nothing but athleticism and freak of nature length at the center position. Or, he can either go guard hungry and draft who I believe is the best pure basketball player in this class in DeAngelo Russell. The freshman talent is flat out diaper dandy, a walking bucket who lives by the number 0 he wears where he feels that there’s no one who can’t guard him. Either way, this year’s NBA draft will be looking very intriguing as this can determine the fate of the future of the Knicks. Choose wisely, Phil.
