Who said that being a book worm is corny is just a slow poke who lives for remedial classes. Last night, America was able to showcase some of the nation’s most talent and intelligent spellers at the 2015 Scripps National Spelling Bee in National Harbor, Maryland. Round after round, 285 human encyclopedias took a walk to the mic to spell out words people thought didn’t exist. For the 2nd straight year, there were two co-champions , who both carry some kind of uniqueness to their journey as spelling bee champs. 13-year-old Vanya Shivashankar was able to follow the same foot steps as her older sister who won the competition in 2009. But the real MVP is co-champion, 14-year-old Gokul Venkatachalam. Oozing with nothing but swagger, this Chesterfield, Missouri native was just acing through words sporting a nice crispy pair of Legend Blue Air Jordans 11’s. Once word got out of the human spell check rocking some classic kicks, the sneaker world had no choice to accept him into the culture as they was able to discover he got some hidden gems in the closet consisting of classic Air Jordan’s like the Oreo IV’s, Black/Red XII, Nike Kevin Durant‘s VI and the Nike Lebron James Dolphin X . Gokul won everyone just off the strength of him applying his favorite player’s LeBron Jame’s pre game approach to his spelling bee preparation. Somewhere in America…Lupe Fiasco is just cheesing from ear to ear with the Revenge Of The Nerds theme song playing in the background. Hey Drake, if you reading this, hearing about this spell bacchius. You don’t know how that s*** goes.

Omgosh! Omgosh! Gokul is now a Spelling legend!
