Earlier this year, the world was stunned when Jay Williams appeared on the popular OWN series, Iyanla: Fix My Life. Williams is the father of 34 children by 17 women. Williams’ appearance alone led to mini-shows revealing other men who had children with multiple women, and a deeper dig into why men serially impregnate women. Just when people thought it was safe to get back to watching Welcome to Sweetie Pies and other popular series on the network, it was revealed that Williams will be getting his own show.

Many people protested the show and believed that Williams should not get a show, or an opportunity to place the children and the 17 baby mothers on the small screens of millions. Their outcries have been acknowledged. The network has decided to pull the plug in the middle of production. According to Madame Noire, the show was not going as well as the producers thought it would. OWN released a statement on canning the show.

OWN has decided not to move forward with the Jay Williams docu-series. The series aimed to follow Jay as he worked to put his life and fractured relationships in order and to hold him accountable every step of the way. The intention was to help Jay work to establish new connections with his family, his children and the mothers of his children. Production has ended and the series will not air.”

Do you think OWN was wrong for pulling the plug on the show?
