WOW! No one wouldn’t thought there would be such dirty tactics on display in a popular sport such as soccer. Well as of recent, it’s safe to say that even the individuals in the suits and ties are liable to be handed red cards for unfair play. The image of the FIFA organization is under heavy attack with no defenders in sight. 14 officials arrested and charged for money laundering, bribery, and corruption. An individual who held the president position for 17 years resigned. What else can go wrong for the people who gave us the perfect platform to be introduced to legends like Pele, David Beckham, Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney? With U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch blowing the whistle on FIFA, only time will tell as the world will have their eyes on them to see how they will clean up their act. But in actuality, whoever is the next person in line to run the show at FIFA is probably going to continue the same activities that got them to the position there are at right now. At the end of the day, money talks louder than a messy female airing out her ex boyfriend’s dirty laundry. As much illegal activities that were performed behind closed doors in which it was released to the public, nations are still going to find a will and a new way to crackdown the new security blanket FIFA will enforce to create change. The change in which revenue, opportunity to host World Cup events and proper marketing would be spread amongst participating countries equitably.
