TheSource.com attended the NYC premiere of the newest soon to be Hip Hop classic ‘Dope’ movie
Produced and narrated by Forest Whitaker and Ex-Produced by Pharrell Williams, Dope, starring Shameik Moore as “Malcolm”, Zoe Kravitz as “Nakia”, Rakim “ASVP Rocky” Mayers, Chanel Iman as Lily, Kiersey Clemons as Diggy, Blake Anderson as Will, Tony Revolori as Jib, Rick Fox as Councilman Blackmon and more. Dope premieres worldwide on June 19th but TheSource.com had the privilege of getting a sneak preview before it hits theaters.
Check out the trailer above cause we don’t want to spoil the plot of this soon to be Hip Hop cult classic. It was definitely a great depiction of what the average teenager of this generation has to deal with on a daily basis. With a message that most can relate to, Dope is sure to be a hit once it drops, so be sure to check it out on June 19th in theaters everywhere.
