Police are still searching for the gunman who is armed, dangerous and on the loose
A shooting at a church in downtown Charleston, South Carolina has left several people dead while the gunman is still on the loose.
THe shooting occurred at Emanuel African Methodist Church at 110 Calhoun Street in Charleston. According to the Twitter account of the Charleston Police Department, the shooter is a white male, approximately 21 years old wearing a grey sweatshirt, jeans, Timberland boots ans is clean shaven.
In this breaking story that could very well be considered a hate crime, there is no confirmed word on the number of fatalities.

UPDATE: Charleston police say that 9 people have been confirmed dead in the shooting that has possibly been labeled a hate crime.
