In January of 2014, it was reported that Imani Porter, an uncle of superstar rapper Wiz Khalifa was killed in a shooting. Nearly a year and half later, 2 men have claimed responsibility for the killing and will be serving some lengthy time behind bars. According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Michael Wolford, 21, and Jaron Young, 19 both plead guilty to third-degree murder, conspiracy to commit robbery, firearms violations, and robbery. Wolford will be sentenced to 30-60 years, while Young is looking at 12 to 25 years.
On January 10, 2014, both of the men met up with Porter for a heroin transaction but attempted to flee without paying for the drugs. Porter chased the men, and after a brief scuffle, Wolford shot Porter in the head, killing him instantly.
Hopefully the victims family can find some sort of closure now that the two men have been brought to justice.
