With just 3 days left until the 2015 NBA Draft, some major news has arisen as it can be looked at as the dictating factor for where everyone else will land come Thursday night. According to reports, The Minnesota Timberwolves reached out to Karl-Anthony Towns to inform him that he will be selected as the No. 1 overall pick of the 2015 NBA Draft. Towns who averaged 10.3 points 6.7 rebounds and 2.3 blocks a game had the scouts and executives drooling at his potential during pre-draft workouts. Reporter Adam Zangoria from ZagsBlog.com was one of the first to release the news and had this to say

The Minnesota Timberwolves have informed Karl-Anthony Towns that they will select him with the No. 1 pick in Thursday’s NBA Draft, a source close to Towns told SNY.tv.

“It’s done, he’s going to Minnesota,” the source said. “[Minnesota President and coach] Flip Saunders was big on Jahlil Okafor for a minute there and after Karl came in [on Saturday], he decided to work out for them. He only worked out for them and it’s a wrap. It’s a wrap. They just told him they’re going to take him No. 1.”

With reigning NBA Rookie Of The Year talent Andrew Wiggins continuing to improve on his impressive showing along with the play making ability of Ricky Rubio, Towns’s inside presence on the offensive and defensive side will help Minnesota become a squad teams should look out for. The future is looking very bright in Minneapolis. Let’s see if they can live up to the potential and run wild through the Western Conference.
