Karen Cooper, a New York native who lives in Virginia, confirms that she is indeed for the confederate flag because it represents freedom. In an interview with “Battle Flag”, a documentary about the confederate flag, Cooper says that the flag represents “freedom” and that slavery was a choice.

Cooper who was active in the Tea Party, organized the flagging group and says that the confederate flag symbolizes a movement away from the government. Cooper continues to say that she believes the flag, “represents a people who stood up for tyranny.” As the topic about the confederate flag slowly swayed it’s way into slavery, Cooper dropped another bomb shell about slavery.

“I’m not advocating slavery or think that it was right. It wasn’t and none of my friends think it was. It was just something that happened. It didn’t just happen in the South — it happened worldwide.”

Cooper ended her statement with, “slavery was a choice because slaves had the choice to die”. As the documentary continues, Cooper says that she will continue to wave her flag because there is nothing racist about the flag if a black woman waves it.

Is this woman delusional or just ignorant?
