Miami’s own DJ Irie hosted the 11th annual three day charity weekend from June 18th – June 20th.
The Irie Foundation aims to empower troubled or at-risk youth in southern Florida by engaging them in mentorship programs and cultural enrichment. The main focus of the foundation is to encourage these youths to pursue higher educations. This year’s three day benefit featured #InspIrie Kids Golf Clinic at the Miami Beach Golf Club on the first day of festivities. Special guest Austin Mahone provided the children with an inspirational and unforgettablel experience. In the evening Merrill Lynch hosted an A-list dinner followed by an exclusive Hublot VIP concert featuring Natalie La Rose and Wyclef Jean. The JEEP 11th Annual Celebrity Golf tournament took place Friday, featuring celebrity golfers like Anthony Mackie, Nina Agdal, Omar Benson Miller, Hill Harper and many more. Saturday’s Irie Weekend BBQ Beach Bash featured special appearance by Mr. 305, Pitbull as well as Beck presenting DJ Irie’s birthday celebration music by Lil Jon and host Timbaland. The charity weekend was a success raising over $50,000 throughout the weekend.
