As previously reported, the Los Angeles Clippers embarked on a hair-brained mission to retrieve their star center, DeAndre Jordan, back from the clutches of the Dallas Mavericks, with whom he was set to sign an $80 million deal once free agents are eligible to sign new deals tomorrow.
The initial reports, which came from, ESPN, sparked an emoji war on Twitter, with Mavericks and Clippers players tweeting plane, car and boat emojis, signifying they were either flying, driving, or boating their way to DeAndre Jordan to ensure that he signs with their team.
Don’t count Mike Woodson out of it either.
That eventually became an all-NBA emoji fest, and people like Kobe Bryant, the Jumpman team, the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers all joined in.
