Denim and Supply is youth

Ralph Lauren consistently pulls from youth culture in his promotion and release of new clothing.  The new Denim and Supply company looks to have received some aid from a few young and trending stars.  R&B princess Tinashe, pop star Cody Simpson and super model talent Hailey Baldwin and Bella Hadid are all involved in the Fall 2015 campaign.

April 2015 saw Tinashe and Hailey Baldwin both tease via Instagram involvement in the designers newly devised Denim and Supply collection.  The complete confirmation of the projects impending release came about with a recently released promotional music video.  The musical performance showcases the duo of rising music stars, Tinashe and Cody Simpson, reworkinging the classic 1970s Charles Wright cut “Express Yourself”.  Captured within the  legendary Electric Lady studios, a locale that has spawned classic records from the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Patti Smith and the Rolling Stones, the artists bubbly performance ringed through a historical space.

“Being able to play guitar at Electric Lady, it was just so sick,” Simpson exclaims.  “I’m a crazy Hendrix fan, so being there was rad for me.”  says Tinashe.  “The set was really fun. We had a dance break…I don’t even know what to call it…a parody type thing that we were filming, and it just brought out all of the moves.”  Tinashe is preparing to go on tour with Nicki Minaj later this year.”

Hailey Baldwin and Bella Hadid, both members of the style modeling world, are both overtly excited to star in the brands presentation.  Hadid proclaimed her affection for the new Denim and Supply clothing items that range from jeans, tees and long dresses.  The military and american inspired gear made Hadid go as far as trying to finesse and attain the gear for personal wear.  “I would genuinely wear every look out on the street, everyday! I loved the jeans, long dresses and tees they styled us in. I tried to take home most of it.”  Look for more information on the collections imminent release soon and watch the promotional campaign video below.
