Supreme is a brand that has become synonymous with hype and every release seems to cause some sort of fanfare one way or another. The next collaboration between Nike and the street wear label sees the Nike GTS”, a shoe steeped in on court and off court history, as a canvas. Famed skaters Guy Mariano, Pepe Martinez and Drake Jones all witnessed Nike’s “Great Tennis Shoe” tennis court popularity and stole it from this setting. Using the sneaker in the context of skateboarding, the skaters took a shoe and transformed it’s purpose.
Supreme collaborated with Nike to create a GTS sneaker that represents the current design aesthetic of the Supreme brand. Featuring a herringbone cotton canvas upper, the Supreme x Nike GTS will be available in five different color ways. For a price of $88 USD on July 16, 2015 you may be able to score yourself a pair online or at Supreme retail sites. Look out at the NY, London and LA Supreme stores for the primary colored low tops to hit store shelves soon.
