It’s the off-season for both football and basketball, which means players are going to enjoy the few months they have to themselves. Denver Nugget’s point guard Ty Lawson is taking his fun a bit too far.

TMZ is reporting that the 27-year-old NBA veteran was arrested for driving under the influence in Los Angeles last night. This is the second time that Lawson has been arrested for DUI this year.

Reports are that Lawson was pulled over by CHP for speeding on the 101 freeway early this morning, and officers determined that he showed signs of intoxication, so they gave him a field sobriety test.

Lawson has reportedly been on the trading block after the Nuggets appeared to draft his replacement last month, picking overseas standout Emmanuel Mudiay with the 7th overall pick in the 2015 NBA draft.

Lawson averaged 15.2 points and a career-high 9.6 assists per game this past season, but the Nuggets have missed the playoffs the past two seasons, and have never made it out of the first round during his tenure.
