July 15, 1997 was the day Hip Hop diva Missy Elliott released her first work of art. The first time the world heard her soulful voice sing “I can’t stand the rain against my window…”, it was a instant Hip Hop classic. Her superproducer/partner Timbaland made sure the beats were banging in clubs and on radios worldwide, creating a classic sound for the new millennium and putting Virginia on the map. Supa Dupa Fly was recorded at the Master Sound Studios in Virginia Beach, Virginia and it was produced solely by Timbaland and Missy herself.
