With tons of artists both mainstream and indie releasing new material every day of the week, it is not too often that one stumbles upon something that is very refreshing and dope in the most organic way. That is exactly what happened when I clicked play on Gina Lee’s new video for “Friday.” The song, which features Harlem native Vinny Cha$e, showcases a smooth 90s Hip-Hop and R&B vibe that is purely infectious.

The clip, which is also directed by Vinny Cha$e, finds Gina Lee paying tribute to the classic Hip-Hop flick “House Party,” on the 25th anniversary of the film’s release. Do yourself a favor and check it out. You’ll be glad you did. Gina Lee’s forthcoming EP “New York Sessions” is slated for an August 7th release.
