Last night was supposed to be a celebratory one in Toronto, following Drake‘s flag-on-the-moon performance at Molson Amphitheatre, in which he addressed his war of words with Meek Mill using a slideshow of memes and thousands of people chanting “Back to Back,” currently the #2 song on the iTunes charts, word for word.

Unfortunately, following the performance, which also featured performances from Pharrell Williams, Kanye West, Future and others, violence ensued. According to Toronto Police Superintendent Frank Bergen, at the show’s official after-party, which took place just a few minutes from the venue at Muzik nightclub, sporadic shooting occurred, resulting in the deaths of two people.

The party at Muzik was billed as “The official OVO fest after-party, hosted by Drake with music by Charlie B” according to Billboard. Authorities have opened an official investigation.
