Fetty Wap is 2015’s most reliable hit-maker, with three Top 20 peaks to show for the three single’s he’s released this year, including a #2 finish for “Trap Queen.” He’s been touted and cosigned by everyone from Drake and Kanye West to Taylor Swift, and now, in September, he’s ready for his grand finale.
According to this interview with AP, Fetty, a native of Paterson, New Jersey, is finally ready to release his yet-to-be-titled debut album on September 25. According to Wap, born Willie Maxwell, it was the careful guidance of his label head and accomplished industry exec Lyor Cohen why he wasn’t in a rush to put music on the shelves. “(Lyor) talk to me like a mentor,” says Wap, who signed on the dotted line with 300 Entertainment in November of 2014.
