E’Dena Hines, 33, was fatally stabbed in Washington Heights by who is believed to be her boyfriend last night. The incident occurred around 3 A.M. when the deranged boyfriend repeatedly yelled, “Get out devils! I cast you out Devils in the name of Jesus Christ! I cast you out!” A witness called the police.
Hines’ body was found in the middle of the street on W162nd Street near St. Nicholas Ave with several stab wounds in her chest. She was rushed to Harlem Hospital Center but was pronounced dead.
Morgan Freeman released a statement saying:
The world will never know her artistry and talent, and how much she had to offer. Her friends and family were fortunate enough to have known what she meant as a person. Her star will continue to shine bright in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. May she rest in peace.
The suspect has been arrested and is undergoing mental evaluation.
