Free-agent swingman J.R Smith has announced via Instagram that he has agreed to terms with the Cleveland Cavaliers on a two-year deal to stay in Cleveland. The deal is exactly worth $10 million total according to ESPN.com sources with a second year player option.

Due to the new collective bargaining agreement rules in place, Swish can veto any trade this season which ultimately lets him be in the driver seat of his future. Other Cavs players with the same option  are LeBron James, Matthew Dellavedova and James Jones. With the player option in place, it will guarantee himself more money in addition to letting him test the free agency market if he wants too. With J.R. Smith back in a Cavs jersey and a mind state of a solidifying role with the Cavs, it will be cool to see if he could get back to his “old” form.
