The White House is looking forward to Kanye’s 202o campaign.
By now you’ve probably heard about Kanye West’s interesting acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night. At the end of his eccentric speech Kanye told the world that he would be running for President in 2020. The news got to Obama’s administration and they’ve released an official statement regarding the announcement.
White House Press Secretary John Earnest told the Associated Press that President Obama was looking “forward to seeing what slogan he chooses to embroider on his campaign hat.” Earnest was traveling aboard Air Force One with President Obama to Alaska.
When Kanye West spoke at Oxford University he said that President Obama “calls the home phone” to speak with him. The President later denied this when he went on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
