It’s very sad that this is happening to someone who became a icon to the game of golf. Tiger Woods’s stunningly decline from greatness has officially hit rock bottom. His last event was the perfect stage to show fans that despite his horrible struggle, he is one of the main contenders in the FedEx Cup Circuit and PGA Tour. Unfortunately, that was a fail in which it all it took was just one more solid round to make it forth to the next stage of the season. Needing at least a 2nd place finish at the 2015 Wyndham Championship to be amongst the 150 players to qualify for the FedEx Cup, Woods started off like vintage 97-07 Woods fashion. Shooting an 68, Woods was tied for the lead. Once I realized that, immediately it brought hope to my heart due to the fact that a fan such as myself missed the dominance in which experts believed Woods was the chosen one to break the all time major wins of 18 held by Jack Nicklaus. Despite the controversy amid with his nasty divorce, painstaking injuries and horrible breaks he caught during each tournament he played in, A sudden brief of joy kicked through the door like a Biggie Smalls instrumental blasting in the background and Tiger is walking up to the green ready to put in another hole for a birdie. But unfortunately, that joy died out real quick once Sunday rolled around. Woods failed to maintain the major momentum he created for himself and finished tied for 10th place. No Woods fighting for a FedEx trophy. Despite the strong finish prior to his last tournaments he partaked in, it’s safe to say that Woods just needs to hang it up and let the new bucks in Jordan Spieth and Rory Mcilroy run the show of the golf game.
