New York Mets
One word to describe the epic run the New York Mets is currently on…….simply Amazin! With a overall record of 74-59, the Mets have took over the NL East division and are running away with it. With just 6.5 games ahead of the 2nd place Washington Nationals, they’re showing signs of no slowing down at all. With the outstanding transactions of acquiring power hitter Yoenis Cespedes, the return of David Wright and clutch hitter from vets like Granderson and Cuddyer, the Mets power hitting have been breaking franchise records and have teams in the National League harlem shaking in fear right now. Along with the offense, their pitching staff is like a Wu-Tang anthem…”Ain’t Nothing To F*** With“. Led by unexpected NL Cy Young candidate in Jacob deGrom, the Mets pitching staff is getting better and a lot more consistent. With Noah Syndergaard bringing the nasty stuff, and the return of the Dark Knight in Matt Harvey, the pitching staff will be key heading into the home stand of the 2015 MLB regular season. So if you are one of the individuals who been riding on the Toronto Blue Jays wave, admiring the sudden rise of the baby Chicago Cubs or been paying close attention to the highly competitive race in the NL Central, you better start making room for the Mets as they are my dark horse of making noise in the MLB playoffs en route to a World Series appearance. Move over pinstripe blue, the boys in blue and orange is ready to take over and lead the Big Apple into the new era of New York baseball.
