A.I is on his way to the Hall of Fame

Finally, one of the greatest players to ever play the game (no debate) is officially eligible for the Hall of Fame in 2016. Former Philadelphia 76ers legend known for his superior skill, contributions to the game and Hip Hop culture ended his career in 2010 and continued to play an extra year overseas in Turkey for the Turkish Basketball League. According to sources, the year spent overseas could have really hurt him in terms of nomination, but according to’s Scott Howard-Cooper, Iverson is good to go.

According to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Committee, in order for a player to be eligible they must be retired for at least five years, but in Iverson’s case, his extra year overseas will be thrown out. The polarizing figure will be eligible next year for enshrinement and as a four-time scoring champion, 11-All-time All-Star and MVP in 2001, it’s about damn time.
