“He got inspired by a very talented Armenian artist. Armenians have been traveling and escaping all around the world. You have all the experiences of the places you go through in your journey but you keep the DNA of where you are [from]. That’s what we recreate in the makeup – all the different places you have been, and all the influences. It is very artistic,” Lead Makeup Artist from Mac Cosmetics Tom Pecheux said.

Marras tweeted about his collection, “We need excess, eccentricity against the clichè, banality, uniformity. For all peoples in flight.”

“When you walk into Antonio’s world, he takes you on a trip. What Antonio wants to express is that no matter where you are in the world, you come from somewhere and this is your DNA. It is inside you and you never forget,” Tom continued. To achieve the beauty look he used MAC’s Silver Pigment, Powdered Blush (or the eyeshadow ) and a Burgundy Lip Pencil with a matte finish.“There is a little bit of a princess doll; surrealism and colorful. The silver represents the industry. The middle pink is more of the girl side. The dark is of a grown up woman. It is a mix of everything together.” On prepping the models’ skin, he added, “Massages, a little bit of foundation, concealer and a little bit of powder. No Blush. If you do the blush they start to look like a little bit of a russian doll.”
