Roland Mouret Presents Spring 2016 Collection At Paris Fashion Week

For the 10-year celebration of Roland Mouret’s galaxy dress, he debuted a Capsule Collection for Spring/Summer 16.

The pieces, both A-line and silhouette style came in a burst of summer colors ranging from tangerine to coral and different hues of blue. Garments had flowy ruffle trims as well as floral and paisley prints. The backs of dresses had cut outs and gold zipper detail. The grand finale was the renowned galaxy dress but revamped with seven new shades. The models had a natural makeup look that was very settle matched with a light tasseled ‘fresh out of bed’ curl. This collection is a combination of fun, contemporary and timeless.

Val Garland of Mac Cosmetics said “It’s celebrating 10 years of the galaxy dress here at Roland Mouret. So the Roland Mouret girl this time around is a lot more fresher, younger, she’s kind of like a cool girl who just got out of bed tasseled her hair and put a red stain on her lip. That’s kind of it really. So it’s all about fresh skin. I’m using the Waterweight foundation from MAC, we’re mascuring the upper lash line, and then using a pencil to put a little bit of a red color in the center of the lips, a bit of lunar highlight and that’s kind of it. It’s sort of like athletic, gym skin.”
